The recently renovated “Gucci Garden”, located at the 14th century historic Palazzo della Mercanzia in Florence is where visitors will find galleries filled with archival Gucci looks, a boutique styled to resemble a rambling antique shop and what may be the world’s most enticing museum cafe, thanks to a menu designed by Massimo Bottura.

“Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura” is the hottest point on Italy’s culinary and fashion map this year. The osteria is located in the multi-storey Gucci Garden Gallery and offers an intriguing menu based on Massimo Bottura’s journeys around the world. Behold the most exciting new opening in Florence this year — Gucci has made a grand entrance into culinary territory with this 50-seat restaurant by Bottura, the chef of three-Michelin-starred Osteria Francescana, named best restaurant in the world in 2016. The green-walled Gucci Osteria is part of the museum-retail concept Gucci Garden, and will be serving up an entirely new all-day dining menu, influenced by Bottura’s travels.

“Travelling the world, our kitchen interacts with everything we see, hear and taste,” says Bottura. “With eyes wide open, we look for the unexpected and next éclat.”

Thus, the restaurant will not be strictly Italian and its menu will offer a variety of dishes from different types of cuisine. At approximately €20 to €30 per person, this intricate dining experience is an affordable way to intrigue fashion-conscious travellers seeking a glimpse of the whimsical world of Gucci.
